The two additional scenes of mourning, the upper one including a baby being carried away, but another was probably shown in the lower register originally. Only the figures of Nefertiti and Akhenaten are identifiable. The dead children involved are unnamed. Room α of the Royal Tomb, wall F.

The simplest explanation is that each of the three scenes depicted the death of one of Akhenaten and Nefertiti’s daughters, each of whom was interred in the Royal Tomb, rather than multiple versions of Meketaten’s death.⁷
